Welcome Kaitlyn Grace!

Hi Everyone,
We're pleased to announce the birth of our baby daughter Kaitlyn Grace Brown. She was born on Friday, October 2, 2009 weighing in at 5 pounds 13 ounces and measured 18.25".

We're very excited to welcome little Katie into our home, but her big brothers Logan and Jordan took a little longer to get used to her. In fact, they didn't like her much but they're adjusting much better now - thank God.

Also, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for love and support during my pregnancy. Your prayers meant more than you'll ever know. Can't wait for Katie to meet everyone in person.

Until then,
Marie

Three Weeks & Counting...

Hi and Welcome Back...
We're officially three weeks (as of this Friday) from welcoming our newest addition into our family. To say that I'm a little nervous, scared, excited, you name it, I've felt it, is an understatement, but we're very much looking forward to her arrival.

The boys are doing well, and we all had a wonderful time in Disney. I'll post pictures soon!

We just got back from a weekend Up North for Labor Day and had a great time, those pictures will be posted also when time permits... which lately is almost never :)

Keep checking the site for updates and new pictures of the boys and of our new arrival when she gets here.

And thanks for checking up on our family.
Blessings,
Marie

Seven Months and counting...

Hi All:
Well, the best laid plans don't always work out. I had intended to be more disciplined and keep this site updated on a more frequent basis. Ah, such is life... it tends to get in the way. After having bronchitis myself for nearly ten days, Paul was sick and we waited for the boys to come down with it. Fortunately, they didn't.

I'm seven months pregnant now and feeling great, just a little tired. The doctor keeps reminding me that it's really supposed to be this easy. And I keep saying "are you sure?" She reassures me by reminding me that carrying two babies is a lot harder than carrying one. That's a good thing. Morning sickness is just a bad memory these days and we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest addition. Keeping everyone healthy until she gets here would be ideal.

However, as of Saturday, Jordan has a double ear infection. Unfortunately, he couldn't escape a nasty summer sickness, but thanfully, his brother, Logan, has - so far! We're keeping our fingers crossed as we're planning on leaving for Florida on Friday for a vacation in Disney World - our favorite place on Earth. We're driving to Orlando and looking forward to the family "bonding" time it allows us in the car. We figure it will most likely be our last vacation as a family of four before our little angel arrives in early October.

We'll post pictures of the trip when we return. Until then, keep checking back and don't give up on us... I'm really trying to keep this updated!

Blessings to all,
Marie

It's a GIRL!

Well, it's official, it's a GIRL! We found out about a week ago that we're expecting a baby girl in October. We're very excited and looking forward to our new addition.

We've been a little busy, that's why I haven't updated our site in a while. Some of you may know that Logan was sick for a few days. He had a fever that the doctor said was a virus, but I still think it's his teeth because thankfully Jordan never caught it.

Then, Paul and I got sick at the same time. Unfortunately, I ended up in the ER over night but I'm feeling much better. I received four bags of IV fluid, as I was so dehydrated the nurse told me that I couldn't have possilby drank enough water to re-hydrate myself, so as much as I hated being in the hospital, I'm glad I went.

Now, my mom has it. I feel terrible, as she helped me tremendously while I was sick and kept the boys overnight so that Paul could rest, too. He's feeling better and so is Logan. We're all mending quickly.

I will try to maintain this site on a more regular basis, but life with two 21-month-old boys is hectic to say the least.

Thanks for all the prayers and well-wishes.
Love,
Marie

Hi Everyone,

So sorry it has been a few weeks since I posted anything. Mom and I went to Chicago the day after Easter and returned home on the 16th... hoping not to return for a while. But, it is with deep sadness that I write here on our blog, that my dad's brother, Joe, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was 86 and loved by all who knew him.

Thankfully, Mom and I spent Tuesday, April 14th with my Uncle Joe and I'll treasure the time we had always. I never would have guessed it would turn out to be the last time I ever saw him.

I took some pictures and will post them next time I update the blog, but in the meantime, keep his family in your prayers and mine, too.

If you knew my Uncle Joe, you'd understand the loss. He was a wonderful man who adored his family and always, always tried to let them know how much. We'll miss you, Uncle Joe.

Love,
Marie

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone,
Well, we are heading into week 11 of my pregnancy and I'm feeling okay. I've been to the doctor three times since I found out and the baby is doing great. It seems (and we hope it stays that way) to be very uneventful this time. Thank God!

I have an appointment with a high risk specialist tomorrow as a precaution. My Ob just wants to be sure things are okay this time around. So far, so good!

Other than being tired, I'm doing good. Last week, my mom was in the hospital but fortunately she's doing much better. We're very blessed!

We hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter. Keep us in your prayers.
Love,
Marie

BIG NEWS!

Hi Everyone,
Well, I had to post our big news... we're expecting another baby in October! And since a lot of our family (and friends) are checking our blog, we figured this would be a good way to spread the news. And, although the pregnancy wasn't "planned" (and we're still in shock, especially Paul :) but it's sinking in a little more every day), we feel very blessed. We figured God knows what he's doing so all of your thoughts and prayers will be appreciated.

I've been to the doctor and everything is going well and the baby looks (and sounds - I heard the heartbeat during my ultrasound on Friday) great. Oh, and it's only one baby this time. We knew God had a sense of humor but he's not that funny :) ! I think two would have sent both of us over the edge :) literally.

Please check back for updates and more pictures. I'll try to get the ultrasound picture scanned (if I can) and post it, too, so you can see our newest "munchkin."

Keep us in your prayers.
Love,
Marie

More news...

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted all of you to know that the boys are continuing to progress. Logan is now scooting around the furniture and standing and climbing on everything. Jordan is right behind him. Both of them are having a little trouble getting down once they get up, but they're doing well.

We also are done with bottles! I'm so happy! I thought it would be harder but to tell you the truth it was a piece of cake. The boys were never allowed to play with their bottles. They were just a means to get their milk. So now that they have their sippy cups, it's the same thing. They don't miss the bottles at all so I packed them all away.

Sure hope you check back soon, I will be adding some more pictures... they got their fourth haircut on Sunday (they have hair like their mommy). Can't wait to post those pictures. They cried like we were cutting off their heads instead of their hair. It was sort of funny.

That night, we went out to dinner and Jordan started drinking out of a straw. Logan was more interested in play with it than drinking from it, but we're working on it. The fun never ends!

Love,
M.

Big Strides for the Brown Boys

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to our website... as you can see, I've changed a lot of our pictures and added a few, too.

Today, March 2nd, is Logan and Jordan's 18 month birthday. Can you believe how time flies? I sure can't :)

We've had a very exciting few days. Jordan started standing on his own Friday night. We kept saying to each other "one of these days he's going to do it and they'll be no stopping him." Well, one of those days is here! He's pulling himself up on everything. God help me!

As for Logan, well, he's been crawling all over the place and pulling himself up for quite sometime. However, he recently learned how to give "high five" and clap compliments of his Daddy.

We're very proud of their progress. Can you tell?

When you think that they started out at less than four pounds each, it's amazing how far they've come, how much they've grown, and how much they've learned. What a true blessing it is for me to witness it all. I wouldn't trade one second of my time with them for anything.

I'm always glad to share their progress with everyone... so keep checking back with us.
Love,
M.

Big Boys

Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm trying to keep this site updated. The boys were sick a few weeks ago, they had that really bad stomach virus that hit them both at the same time. It was horrible. Then, last week they both had colds, but thankfully, are feeling better now.

As most of you know, Logan has been crawling around the house and getting into everything, but Jordan was taking his time. Well, not any longer. Today, he figured out how to get up on his knees to play with his car (it's a walker that both boys love) and then, out of the blue, he stood up. We couldn't believe it. Logan stood up a few weeks ago in his crib and has tried several times since but hasn't done it again. And then, out of the blue, Jordan just figured it out all on his own. My mom always says "Jordan will figure it out in his own time and then they'll be no stopping him." She's right. God help me! Once they're both mobile and walking I'm in serious trouble... but loving every second of it.

Please check back again for new pictures of the boys. It's been fun keeping everyone updated on their progress.

We love you all,
Marie

I'll keep trying...

Hi Everyone,
As promised, I'm really trying to keep this site up-to-date, but life keeps getting in my way.

After nearly 8 days of being sick, Logan and Jordan are back to normal sporting big boy haircuts (number three since they turned one). They may not look like me (Paul couldn't deny them if he tried ;) ), but they have my hair and it's ability to grow and grow and grow!

They are doing really well. At their last doctor appointment, Logan weighed in at 22 lbs 2 oz and Jordan at a whopping 23 lbs 6 oz. Logan is closing in on Jordan, however, as he used to weigh almost two pounds less than Jordan.

Logan is now pulling himself up on anything and everything... and Jordan is right behind him, trying. Within the next week or so, I imagine he'll be doing the same thing.

Although the weather has been bitter cold, the boys and I (and Paul when he's home) are enjoying being a family.

We're very blessed.
Love,
Marie

Special Thanks

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the e-mails and notes we've received. I'm so glad you like our blog... it's fun for me to share the pictures with all of our friends and family.

It's very cold and snowy here in Michigan. Logan and Jordan seem to like the snow and try to catch it whenever we're outside. Mom and Dad are in Florida soaking up the sun and enjoying the 70 degree temperatures compliments of my cousin and her family. About now, 70 degrees sounds lovely.

Stay tuned for more pictures. Oh, and check out the one of the boys when they first came home. What a difference a year makes, eh?

God bless you all,
Marie

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and welcome back... seems the month of December just got away from me. I had intended to post more pictures and notes, but as you can tell by my post date, I didn't. (Note to self: find more time to post in 2009.)

As you can see from the pictures, we had a very Merry Christmas. Our little guys had a wonderful time and they seemed more interested in the paper and boxes than their new toys, but all in all it was a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures.

We hope 2009 brings much health and happiness for you and those you love.
